MPO Asia

MPO Asia Co., Ltd. (MPO Asia) is a Thai manufacturing company located in Bangkok, active under this name since 1996. The company was first established in 1994 under the name MPO Siam Co., Ltd. (MPO Siam) and officially opened its manufacturing plant in February 1995.

Identification:
Until 1997-98, the company is identified by 'MPO ASIA' in the disc matrix, sometimes accompanied by mould SID code IFPI 2M**. In such cases, a Pressed By role can be entered.

From around 1998 onward, the company is not specifically named in the matrix, but can be identified by mastering SID codes IFPI L037/LZ77 and mould SID code IFPI 2M** in combination with the following matrix patterns:

· XXY / XXYY is an internal number where Y or YY refers to the glass master year: 8 = 1998, 9 = 1999, 0 = 2000, 03 = 2003, 04 = 2004, 13 = 2013, etc. This number should not be entered as a catalogue#, but can be used to identify reissues
· SS = stamped digits

Please use the Glass Mastered At role with IFPI L037/LZ77 and Pressed By with IFPI 2M**.

Note: mastering SID code IFPI L035 often appears in combination with IFPI 2M**, but the ownership of this mastering SID code is not yet confirmed. Therefore, it is safer not to credit any company on such releases.
