Future Media

Future Media Productions Inc was a CD/DVD manufacturer located in Valencia, CA, USA, first launched in 1994 as a CD-ROM manufacturer. Future Media's manufacturing plant provided services including pre-mastering, glass mastering, disc replication, assembly, and more. The company filed for bankruptcy in February 2006.

Future Media is often credited in the disc matrix as 'FUTURE MEDIA \ CA' or 'FM \ CA'. In addition, the company may not be specifically named, but can be identified by a matrix number in the format 'FM #####' (CDs) and 'FM DVD #####' (DVDs), usually in combination with the SID codes listed below. These matrix numbers can be entered in LCCN for Future Media.

1) When any other mastering SID code is present in combination with IFPI 3V**, this indicates that glass mastering was performed by a different manufacturer.
