Edited 2 years agoWhat a cool little label, i so wish there would of been more records in the catalog, My favourite has to be the Abduction ep by DJ Freak, never been to Brooklyn is one of my all time favourite tracks, it’s certainly aged better than a lot of tracks, almost as if it gets better with age ha.
The Nasenbluten record is an absolute gem, soo sooo special it’s unbelievable, ive got records worth much more that I don’t cherish half as much as I do that one, proper record !
The DJ Tron massacre ep is probably the most relentless early speedcore record, it’s absolutely brutal, every time I hear a track from that record I do the same thing I did when I first heard it in 1996, shake my head in total disbelief….. I still to this day say “what the actual fuck is going on here” haha
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Redline record also, it’s almost as if Redline is Loftgroovers love child or something, all the tracks are Loftgroover style inspired, quite basic and would win no awards for producing prowess, but really fun and fairly well mastered to be fair, Infact one of…if not the best mastered records on the label, it’s sounds amazing on my Naim reference system, which is quite a feat because the Naim system exposes every last detail and the redline ep really holds it own, night and day If compared to say the nasenbluten record on Storm, but hey early fist crew records and good mastering can’t be said in the same sentence (unless syndicate on Juncalor)
The rest of the catalog is fairly average, yes even the DJ Producer offering, but saying that isn’t the B-core record one of the first times breakcore as a genre definition had actually been used? See, even more acclaim for this cool little label !
I Love Storm Records 😊

Storm is back and Jackhammer is back. Mark Newlands never got ripped off - Storm was ripped off by the P&D distributor. Not linked to Shoop save for the fact that Jackhammer got ZBD's job when he left.
