Let's talk about Printpak, the printing company located in the Copperbelt of Zambia. They produced the vast majority of the album covers for Zambia's recording industry.
I honestly think as far as printing goes, they did a decent job, but when it came to the paper stock they used for record covers, well, let me tell you, they used absolute junk. Zambian record covers tend to be falling apart, but it's not just because they are old and stored in less than ideal conditions. The paper is fibrous, lacks any kind of rigidity and is just not well made. It's like it was made to fall apart. I'm not sure where they sourced the cardstock used for the album covers, but boy was it terrible.
So here's to Printpak, Zambian printer who printed lovely album covers that like to fall apart.
