Edited 6 years agoWe are in 2018 now and, it seems, no more Playhouse. Let me say that it's hard to find a bad record coming from this eclectic label. Even the strangest synth pop releases have still their own fashion. Milestones were many, such as (to me) the first 'Soilent green', Isolee's 'Beau Mot plage', MyMy & Max Mohr''s works and many more. Not mentioning 'Alcachofa', of course.

Playhouse records have always pushed a very slick, stylish minimal house movement. Possibly the most interesting house label going. The blend of innovative minimal grooves, soulful sounds and slick bass lines have always kept me ionate about Playhouse.
Best suited for tight clubs. Real disco music. -
Consistently good quality, the emphasis is on originality
rather than any particular sound. Definately one of the
most risk taking/ pioneering labels around at the moment
(top pick - John Tejada & Arian Leviste "Syntax Error")
