Performing arts center located in Portland, Oregon, USA.
Originally a vaudeville venue, known in 1928 as the Portland Publix Theater, it became the Paramount in 1930 as a film theater until 1972, after which it became a theater and concert venue. Renamed The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in 1983 after large donations were made by Harold and Arlene Schnitzer for the renovations.
Residency of the Oregon Symphony Orchestra, the venue has access on Portland's Broadway, Main Street and Park Avenue. Audiences often refer to the venue, from its heritage, as 'The Schnitz'.
