Swedish music publishing company in Stockholm, founded on November 11, 1943 and with its company registration 13 days later.
However, the foundation for this company goes back all the way to 1893 when Einar Rosenborg as the main stakeholder and leader.
By making a large monetary donation in 1950, the spouses Rosenborg founded the 'Inge and Einar Rosenborg Stiftelse - för svensk musik' (Foundation - for Swedish music), but in 1971, it was renamed to 'Rosenborg Gehrmans Stiftelse - för svensk musik'.
The Foundation's task is to promote the publication of valuable Swedish music through Gehrmans Musikförlag AB (in which the foundation holds 80% of the shares). According to the statutes, the foundation's purpose is also to use the proceeds of its assets for scholarships and grants to Swedish composers, musicians and singers as well as students who are at a professional level in these fields.
In 1999, Gehrmans Musikförlag AB's and 'Sveriges Körförbunds Förlag AB's' operations and catalogues were merged. The two most important choral catalogues in Sweden were thus gathered under the same roof.
