Agora Ballroom

it should be noted that the pictured venue is not the original Agora. the Agora was located on E 26th st in Cleveland and had a downstairs venue called The Pop Shop where many local punk/metal/new wave groups played at, and the floor above the Agora was a recording studio called Agency Recording. most if not all FM broadcasts and SBD recordings from The Agora were actually recorded on the machines in Agency Recording, or were mixed "on the fly" inside of Agency when it was a live FM simulcast.

sadly, the Agora, as located on E 26th st, burned down completely sometime in 1985, and has been a parking lot for Cleveland State University ever since. the current Agora at 5000 Euclid Ave opened in 1987 (i the first official show there being a Dead Boys reunion), and is in the same building/location of what was once the WHK Auditorium.
