Brief history overview:
March 1932: Industrial corporates AEG and Siemens & Halske, take over the "Deutsche Ultraphon Aktiengesellschaft (Duag)" and subsequently attach the manufacturing to Telefunken.

July 1932: Telefunken establishes "Telefunkenplatte G.m.b.H." on 26 July 1932.

September 1941: Siemens transfers its 50% share of Telefunken to AEG, thus making AEG the sole owner.

Late 1945: the company starts pressing records again (in an AEG factory in Hennigsdorf, near Berlin).

Juli 1947: recording activities are taken up again.

1948: Telefunken secures a deal with Capitol Records, Inc. that allowed Telefunkenplatte the exchanging of matrices and making matrices available to each other for their use.

March 1950: Telefunken starts a close cooperation with British Decca Records, leading to outplacing all Telefunken music activities into the newly founded "TELDEC »Telefunken-Decca« Schallplatten GmbH". However, the company Telefunkenplatte GmbH existed until July 1998, when it was transferred to the run-off company "EHG Elektroholding GmbH" (responsible for trademarks and patents of AEG), after AEG was merged into DaimlerChrysler.
