Up to a point, Cobra was one of the finest French independent rock and prog/experimental labels around. Many of the originals are collectable rarities today. Bizarrely, 3 of the last 4 releases on Cobra were film soundtracks totally out of character with anything released by the label before, and Zox (the final release) was oddball electro funk. A pitiful end to a label that released at least 10 classics!
