Jazz Wax Records

I have seen a lot of comments and reviews stating or questioning the quality of the Waxtime/Jazz Wax, including a campaign by MoFi discrediting their quality and sourcing. I don’t have a large sample size but I can tell you that I have purchased 6 LPs of Jazz wax/wax time and all 6 have had flawless quality in the pressings and vinyl, they run as quiet as anything in my collection. I have several MoFi’s and late vintage Blue Notes, and although there is no question about the quality of the sourcing, I cannot say they have the same quality in the end product as the wax times. 75% of my MoFi’s and 50% of Blue Notes have visible flaws. So for $15-20, I’ll buy wax time all day, and I will question my next $50+ MoFi.
