Unfortunately, I cannot echo the comments below (any longer). Especially the more recent releases handled by Smashed Plastic (American Dreams Records; also the „Hands that Bind“ OST by Jim O‘Rourke, Jeff Parker’s Forfolks on cream coloured vinyl, …) are mediocre at best (to downright terrible). A lot of them went right back to the shop and I requested my money back. The pressings are quite pricey (at least of here in Europe) and even if they oftentimes look spotless, there is just so much noise and crackling. Again, I primarily speak for the more recent releases manufactured by Smashed Plastic. They used to be so good but I am beginning to think that maybe they changed their pressing gear or sth.

This is the place, and these are the people. Best work and best TLC any of my music has ever received in manufacture. HIGHLY recommended.

These folks are quickly establishing themselves as being one of the preeminent US pressing plants. Excellent quality pressings, with special care taken in the cooling process to ensure flat records that aren't likely to suffer non-fill or warp issues.
