American Sound Studio, Memphis, TN

The American Sound Studio was founded in 1963 by writer / producer American Sound Studio, Atlanta, GA.

Notable records recorded here included Sandy Posey's "Born A Woman", James and Bobby Purify's "Shake A Tail Feather", Dusty Springfield's "American Studios, Nashville.  The building was demolished in 1987 to build an auto parts store.
