Profile:	US label; also appears as "Varsity Records". Initially launched as a subsidiary of Eli Oberstein. This company went bankrupt in 1940. Oberstein revived the label in mid-1948 as a subsidiary of Wright Record Corporation, located first in New York City, then in Meriden, Connecticut. First releases appeared in August 1948.
