American record company executive and producer (November 16, 1916 – November 9, 1999).
He began with Big Joe Turner.
In 1946 he founded his first record company, Jerry Blaine, but left after a year.
With his wife Miriam and his friend Atlantic Records in 1947.
From 1955 to 1958, he ran ATCO Records.
After leaving Festival (4).
He also ran two publishing companies, Sheila Songs, Inc..
He founded his own studio, A-1 Sound Studios, in the early sixties.
Father of Sheila Abramson.
