Real Name:

William Trader

Profile:

Bill Trader (May 1, 1922 - October 26, 2003) was an American song-writer and singer.

Though he wrote and sang other of his songs professionally, this songwriter remains primarily ed for writing the ballad "(Now and Then There's) A Fool Such as I" which became a hit for Hank Snow, Jo Stafford, Elvis Presley, and Petula Clark (with a French version), and has since been recorded by many other artists.

The song, simply known as "A Fool Such As I", was recorded by Bob Dylan on Dylan (1973), although on some versions Trader is wrongly credited as B. Abner.
