Bill Thompson has been the manager of Jefferson Airplane since 1968, as well as the manager of Jefferson Starship. Bill also managed Hot Tuna; as well as every iteration of the bands: Starship, Papa John Creach and the solo projects for Grace Slick, Paul Kantner and Jorma Kaukonen. He was instrumental in making the Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship bands among the top ten most successful acts in history, receiving twenty gold records.

Bill Thompson also managed Neal Schon, the legendary guitar player for Journey.

Bill has been a consultant for Polygram Records, MCA Records, Relativity Records, The Box, Nocturne Productions and Island Records. In the mid 90s, Bill booked concerts in the Far East, featuring Santana, Foreigner, Tower of Power, Mr. Big, Dave Koz, and numerous other jazz artists. He has worked on projects for Steve Miller, Elton John, and Glen Frey.
