Beatles Cine Club

The official Japanese fan club of The Beatles was founded in 1966, when the band visited Japan for the first time. Originally it was named Beatles Study Group (ビートルズ研究会), but in 1967 the group changed its name to "Beatles Cine Club" (while organizing screening events for The Beatles movie in Japan).

The Club also released a few very limited, memorabilia-style releases exclusively for its , and they are listed under Beatles Cine Club label entry.

Beatles Cine Club translated lyrics to some of The Beatles albums, and those translations were published in the booklets for Japanese CD editions, with full credits going to a fan club. They also publishes a monthly newsletter magazine, organizes tribute events and participates in many other translating, writing, researching and publishing activities dedicated to the Fab Four in Japan.

Currently this organization is called simply The Beatles Club = ザ・ビートルズ・クラブ, and sometimes they are credited like that. Please, use the corresponding ANV for such credits.

Even though the fan club is dubbed as "official", it is not endorsed or certified by Yoko Ono and other people from The Beatles camp through all these years. For example, since 2001 The Beatles Club held an annual charity concert Dream Power John Lennon Super Live and Ono ed and advocated for it.
