Sonny Red

American jazz alto saxophonist and flautist, born December 17, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan, died March 20, 1981 in the same city.
Played with Yusef Lateef and others, and in his own bands.
He recorded albums as a leader for Savoy, Blue Note & Jazzland between 1958 & 1962.
