Rachid Taha

Algerian artist, founder of pioneer French Arabic rock band Carte De Séjour. His father is from Bejaia, in the Kabylie area of Algeria while his mother was from Mascara. Rachid grew up in the suburbs of Lyon, in and invented a sort of Rock n' Raï music style.
Born 18th of September 1958 in Saint-Denis-du-Sig (today Sig), near Oran, Algeria.
Died 12th of September 2018 in Les Lilas (Seine-Saint-Denis) .
