Richie Unterberger

American music writer, born 1962-01-19, based in San Francisco, California. Unterberger has written for various music publications and is an All Music Guide reviewer. He also writes liner notes for CDs and LPs, especially for the Collectors' Choice label. He has written 13 books (and counting) about subjects such as The Who, The Velvet Underground, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and Folk Rock. He has also written on travel, e.g. The Rough Guide To Seattle.
