Zebda

French band from Toulouse who mix ragga, chanson, world, ska and alternative rock with political lyrics and citizen activism. Zebda (زبدة, zubda) is Arab for 'butter' ('beurre' in French, but also 'beur', a French slang word referring to French citizens of Maghrebi descent).

Formed in 1985, splitted in 2003, reformed in 2008.
