Ash Avildsen

American film director, screenwriter, producer, and the founder of John G. Avildsen (1935—2017); however, he only briefly met his father, who was estranged from the family, twice. In 2006, Ash Avildsen founded Sumerian Records. It started as a hobbyist "bedroom" project, subsequently evolving into a significant independent heavy metal US label with over 500 releases.
