After being lackluster about a lot of the 2005-2013 detroit techno of the period, this was one of the releases that put my trust back into the style that I loved for many years. IMO this is more related to the UK/Dutch take on Detroit styled techno. This really has soul! Beautiful melodies and rhythm's that never outstay their welcome or become "techno", This more hi-tech soul and closer to say Future Beat Alliance then yoru classic Detroit techno. Steven Tang never steers you wrong. You can always count on him. Highlights include the brilliant opener 'Interslice', 'Some Solace' and 'Eternal'. 'Potential Light' is brilliant ode to Larry Heard. Remarkable example at a tribute. 'Brink of Dawn' is a beauty of a closer as well. If there was a 2nd tier of all time great albums in this genre and style, this would be in it. It's a track or 2 short of being a classic
    Overall Score 82/100
